Where to Get Official Zamzam Water
Many pilgrims want to take Zamzam water home after Umrah, but official Zamzam water is not sold in ordinary shops or local markets.
The Saudi authorities provide officially packed Zamzam water through the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Zamzam Water Project, which treats, tests, bottles, and packs the water to ensure it is safe and authentic.
For most international pilgrims, the official 5-litre Zamzam bottle is collected or purchased at the designated airport Zamzam distribution centre before departure, depending on the airline and travel arrangements.
Always make sure you receive a factory-sealed official bottle. Do not buy unsealed bottles or bottles from unknown sellers, as they may not contain genuine Zamzam water.
Can You Buy Zamzam Water in Madinah?
Official Zamzam water is supplied through the King Abdullah Zamzam Water Project. If you need a bottle for your journey home, follow the instructions given by your Umrah tour operator or airline.
Most pilgrims receive or purchase their official 5-litre Zamzam bottle at the airport before leaving Saudi Arabia.
