The Well of Rumah is located northwest of the Prophet's Mosque, near Wadi al-Aqiq. It is surrounded by farms and gardens and is famous for its clean, ancient water. The owner used to charge people for water from the well.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Who will buy the well of Rumah and make his bucket with the Muslims' buckets, he will have something better in Paradise."
Uthman ibn Affan bought the well, and it became one of the first donations in Islam.
