Bani Waqef Fortress is one of the largest and most famous fortresses in Madinah. It is located north of the Saffiyah Well, slightly to the east. The fortress is known for its distinctive architectural style, featuring well-crafted stone arches with lime plaster. Covering an area of about fifty meters, it was built around fourteen centuries ago. Despite the passage of time, parts of the fortress still remain visible today.
