Al-Hajim Well – Historic Well of Early Muslim Emigrants in Madinah

Al-Hajim Well is an old well in Madinah, surrounded by many farms and other wells. It goes back to the time before Islam. The well is in the Al-Usbah area, west of the Quba Mosque. This was where the early Muslim emigrants lived before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came to Madinah.

Abdullah ibn Omar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “When the early emigrants arrived at Al-Usbah before the Prophet’s arrival, they were led in prayer by Salim, a freed slave of Abu Hudhaifa, who was very knowledgeable in the Qur’an.”
