Al-Faqir Well is an old well in the farms of high Madinah. It is from before Islam. This place is important because of its link to the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The respected companion Salman al-Farsi worked on the farms near this well. The Prophet (peace be upon him) planted date trees here to help free Salman from slavery. A miracle happened—the trees gave fruit in just one year.

The well is still there today. The Saudi kings have taken care of it over time.
